Suggester says; Moscow 2 by *andrewhitc is a smoggy yet picturesque view of Moscow. I personally love the color tones and the architecture of this shot; with addition of the uplifting smoke, this is a wonderful capture. (

I've wondered about it. Do you think smoking at large affects the Earth? I spose if you assume 500,000,000 to 1,000,000,000 people in the world smoke, and each of them smoke on average ten cigarettes per day, that is 5-10 billion cigarettes being burned each day. If all in one place, it would probably produce a chemical cloud not much different than this one, if not more toxic.
^Absolutely. The act of smoking and its consequences are disgusting... The people committing the crime don't seem to give a shit, unless they are actively and successfully quitting within a reasonable time frame. Indeed, smoking affects Earth's environment and it should be banned to prevent further environmental abuse.
I can agree it is possible it has a notable effect. It is, however, nothing compared to the forms and quantities of pollution humans have excreted. Polychlorinated Byphenyls, Chlorofluorocarbons, polymers, ethyl, dioxins, radioactive by-product from enriching uranium, thousands of tonnes of each...All in the past century. If humanities worst footprint were the combustion material of small amounts of a dried plant, even in larger scales, I'm sure the effect would be negligible. It would need further study.
